Erie, PA &#8211; Fat Guy reviewer:  Scott"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s always a delight to visit Public House.\u00a0 As with the other U Pick 6 locations it is owned by John Melody, a very pleasant Irishman who is no stranger to the Erie restaurant and bar scene.\u00a0 All of his establishments I have visited are top notch.\u00a0 If you frequented Molly Brannigan&#8217;s in its earlier years you may have had occasion to speak with John.\u00a0 He was one of the original owners, but has since sold his stake in Molly&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.upick6.com\/\">http:\/\/www.upick6.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I often visit Public House for lunch throughout the work week.\u00a0 I almost always order the Italian &#8216;Boli, or as I have come to call it, &#8220;the Meat Tornado&#8221;.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_40\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-40\" style=\"width: 4608px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-40\" src=\"https:\/\/fatguyapproved-vgfvcengsr.live-website.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_20170130_131231979.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"4608\" height=\"2592\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fatguyapproved.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_20170130_131231979.jpg 4608w, https:\/\/fatguyapproved.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_20170130_131231979-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fatguyapproved.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_20170130_131231979-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/fatguyapproved.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_20170130_131231979-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/fatguyapproved.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_20170130_131231979-533x300.jpg 533w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 4608px) 100vw, 4608px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-40\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">&#8220;Son, you had me at <em>Meat Tornado<\/em>.&#8221; &#8211; Ron Swanson<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I will sometimes order different things, sure, and they are all delicious; but I keep coming back to the Italian &#8216;Boli.\u00a0 It&#8217;s just too good to pass up!\u00a0 Salami, capicola, pepperoni, smoked sausage, and their house cheese blend all wrapped in perfectly cooked pizza dough.\u00a0 What&#8217;s not to love about that?\u00a0 In my experience, food containing orange grease is always a winner.\u00a0 Though, anything cooked in the Public House brick oven is a good bet.<\/p>\n<p>Public house also has a great selection of beer, including some from local breweries.\u00a0 You can enjoy them there or take home from the attached six-pack shop.<\/p>\n<p>Whether I am there for lunch or dinner Public House is consistently full of happy people enjoying good food and drink.\u00a0 I have always found the service and staff at Public House to be excellent, as well.<\/p>\n<p>If you have not done so yet, check out Public House.\u00a0 It is most definitely Fat Guy Approved!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s always a delight to visit Public House.\u00a0 As with the other U Pick 6 locations it is owned by John Melody, a very pleasant Irishman who is no stranger to the Erie restaurant and bar scene.\u00a0 All of his establishments I have visited are top notch.\u00a0 If you frequented Molly Brannigan&#8217;s in its earlier&#8230;
